Yes, this prouct is plastic-free. It is paper with a water-based barrier coating. It is the barrier-coating which gives the heat-sealable properties. A range of barriers are available. 

Yes, this material is recyclable in the paper recycling stream. We can supply OPRL reports and repulpability trials on request. It's suitable for any kerbside paper recycling stream.
